Travel Schedules: We will be leaving the school by school bus at 12:00 Noon on Friday, Jan 22nd. Every student will be checked out prior to leaving.

Students must arrange to be picked up on Friday evening at 9:00 PM. Students Must check in with coaches before leaving.

Students must arrange to be dropped off by 7:00 AM on Saturday Morning. Every student Must check in with coaches when arriving.

Students must arrange to be picked up on Saturday evening by 7:30 PM. All students are required to stay for the first elimination round, either for competition or for scouting. Students must check out with coaches before leaving.

No students are allowed to leave the tournament on the UNLV campus without adult supervision during the tournament.

Parking

* You may not park on the UNLV campus on Friday before 5 pm without a parking pass. I have purchased passes for you and they will be available at registration from 11 am – 1 pm or in CBC C324 from 2 pm – 4 pm. If you are not registered in policy debate, your rounds do not begin until 5 pm and you won’t need a pass.


* After 5 pm Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, passes will not be necessary.


* Please do not park in any reserved space. You may park in metered parking (it’s a quarter) on Friday if you’re arriving after 4 pm or if you are worried about your vehicle while registering.

* Golden Desert is using seven buildings on campus:

#28 CBC Classroom Building

#34 FDH Flora Dungan Humanities

#31 GUA Greenspun Hall

#61 TBE Thomas Beam Engineering (not the same as Beam Hall)

#33 BEH Beam Hall (not the same as Thomas Beam Engineering)

#79 CEB Carlson Education Building


* Maps of the campus can be downloaded at the UNLV website and additional copies will be available at registration. Maps are also in your tournament booklets.


* Students and judges in open CX should report to the Classroom Bldg. (CBC #28) with Mr Alderete before 2 pm for schematics and ballots for round 1.



* NCX debaters and judges should report to the same building with the varsity and should report to Mr Alderete. They will watch Round One of Varsity until 4 pm when the first Novice round starts. Judges not used in open will probably judge in novice.


* Congressional debates and judges should stay with Mr Alderete or Meyers until they report to the lobby of Greenspun Hall (GUA #31) before 5:30 for chamber assignments.


* All Lincoln Douglas debaters and judges should meet with Mr Meyers before 5 pm in Wright Hall (WRI #35) for schematics and ballots.
